Head Brewer of the award-winning Fixed Wheel Brewery Scott Povey can often be spotted with his trademark woolly hat either at his Blackheath brewery or at many of the beer festivals he attends.

Since it opened around 5 years ago the brewery has gone from strength-to-strength winning multiple awards and is heralded by real aficionados far and wide as one of the finest breweries in the country, let alone the Black Country.

Scott oozes passion and enthusiasm for his craft. He opens the brewery to serve his ale on Friday evenings and Saturday day times, so you can speak to him in person about his beer and brewing. And just a brief time in his company will show you his passion and dedication for his craft. And it shows through in his numerous, tasty brews. Scott is dedicated to keeping The Black Country at the heart of real ale excellence in the country.

The self-confessed ‘mad cyclist’ (who set 2 British records for 50 and 100 mile time trials in his past life) often gives his beers a little nod to the brewers other passion, so when you’re at the bar looking for a pint of Fixed Wheel expect to see such great names as No Brakes IPA, Chain Reaction Pale Ale, Ride it Like You Stole It, and a fair selection under the Single Speed moniker
