Back in 2015 to celebrate the launch of the Dudley JB’s book, the author Geoff Tristram was after stories and memories To include in the publication, so being an illustrator Ash submitted his in the form of a comic strip.

Ash Was a JBs regular from 85 until he moved to Glasgow in 1990 but still keeps in touch with everyone from there, meeting up whenever he’s down for a visit.

Ash’s work captures the spirit and fun times of Dudley’s most infamous music venue that helped to launch the careers of hundreds of big bands, including Blur,, The Police, The Pretenders, Judas Priest and the Manic Street Preachers.
